About Me

My photo
Lisa Roth Walter
Keeping it Simple: I created this blog to be like the one I would want to stumble upon as a teacher. Throughout the school year I love to show my student leaders inspirational video clips and quotes. I got to thinking, if I go to the trouble to find these links why not share them, and share ideas? It's what Stephen Covey calls the abundance theory. There is enough to go around for everyone. I hope you find some simple ideas that you can use! A little more about me: I have been teaching for 27 years. During that time I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade, as well as spending five years as an academic intervention specialist. I also love working with teachers at the graduate level. My elementary school is involved in the Leader in Me process. This has been an exciting adventure for me as an educator and for our staff. I think everyone can foster leadership skills. Each child is so unique, with both gifts and challenges. My colleagues tease me about being a curriculum nerd. I love to create and share lessons and materials, and I love to learn new things, so feel free to share your ideas here, too!
